Squarespace

On Squarespace you paste Grona’s three-line snippet into the Header field of Code Injection, which adds it to the <head> of every page. Use this page to install Grona on a Squarespace site.

Before you start

A Squarespace plan that includes Code Injection. Code Injection is not on every Squarespace plan. Check that your current plan includes it before you start.
Admin access to the Squarespace site.
Your Grona workspace id, from your Grona dashboard. See Install the Grona script.

This is the snippet you paste. Replace YOUR_WORKSPACE_ID in both script URLs with your workspace id:

Install

Open Settings. From your Squarespace dashboard, select Settings in the left sidebar.
Open Code Injection. Go to Developer Tools > Code Injection. If you do not see Developer Tools, look for Advanced > Code Injection.
Paste the snippet into Header. Code Injection has two fields, Header and Footer. Paste the Grona snippet into Header.
Save. Select Save at the top of the page.

Platform notes

Use Header injection, not a Code Block. A Code Block on a single page only places content inside <body>, so the anti-flicker script cannot run early enough there. Install Grona site-wide with Header injection and choose pages with each campaign’s URL rules.

Consent banners. If a cookie banner on your site holds scripts until a visitor accepts, Grona’s scripts do not run before consent: the first page has no flicker protection and the dashboard check reports the script as missing. See Consent and storage.

Verify

Open your live site in a new private window, open your browser’s developer tools and filter the Network tab by grona. Confirm that antiflicker.js and main.js both load with status 200 or 304. Then run the dashboard check. See Verify your installation.

Track conversions

Squarespace has no Grona-specific conversion path. Use a custom-event goal from the Grona dashboard, as described in Track conversions and custom events.

Remove Grona

In Developer Tools > Code Injection, delete the Grona snippet from Header and select Save. See Remove Grona for the rest.
